Comedienne Chonda Pierce will be headlining an upcoming event to benefit Safe Haven Cheatham County.
"Laugh and Dine with Chonda Pierce" will be held on October 19 at Gateway Chruch located at 1642 Highway 12 South in Ashland City. The event will begin at 6 PM.
In addition to the comedy by Pierce, food will be catered by Monell's and music will be performed by Shinbone Alleycats.
All proceeds from the benefit will go to the shelter to help victims of domestic violence and their dependents. Safe Haven, more full than usual due to COVID-19, helps survivors with shelter, food, counseling, resumes, clothing, and transportation to courthouses, lawyer appointments, and to housing once they are ready to leave the shelter.
Safe Haven also helps with getting children enrolled in school, counseling, homework, clothing, and more.
Tickets are currently on sale for $75 (single), and a table can be sponsored for $1000. Tickets can be purchased at Safehavencheathamcounty.org.
"Chonda Pierce is a fantastic comedian," Safe Haven representatives say. "With all that is going on in the world, we need more laughter. We are so fortunate that she decided to perform for our Safe Haven fundraiser. With Chonda it is always good, clean fun!"
