The Cheatham County Wrestling Club took five wrestlers to the Train Like A Norseman Wrestling Camp in Bettendorf, Iowa, on July 16 through July 19, 2023. The wrestlers competed in 10 duals and finished tied for third place out of 13 teams with a record of 7-3. In addition to the duals, the wrestlers competed in team-building exercises and competed in an individual tournament on the last day of the camp.
Caden Ospina finished in second place, Sumner Boyd took third, and Adan Alvarez and Daylan Wilcher each placed sixth. Tyler Knight competed in the Duals and team building, but did not compete in the individual tournament due to injury.
"The wrestlers enjoyed the camp and exceeded all expectations from the coaches," the coaching staff says.
