Cheatham County Schools Now Accepting Pre-K Applications for 2025–2026 School Year

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – The Cheatham County School District is now accepting applications for its Pre-K program for the 2025–2026 school year and is encouraging community members to help spread the word to families with eligible children.


Pre-K classes are available at four elementary schools across the district:

  • Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy

  • East Cheatham Elementary School

  • Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School

  • West Cheatham Elementary School


To qualify, children must turn four years old on or before August 15, 2025. In addition, families must meet income eligibility requirements based on the U.S. Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines.


Application packets can be picked up at any Cheatham County elementary school, at the Board of Education office located at 102 Elizabeth Street in Ashland City, or downloaded from the district’s website:Cheatham County Schools Pre-K Information
