VOTER REGISTRATION


Federal or state government issued photo ID is required to vote, unless an exception applies.  College student IDs will not be accepted.  To learn more about the new law and its exceptions, please call Cheatham County Election Commission or online at www.GoVoteTN.com


The Cheatham County Election Commission is open for voter registration for the Presidential Preference Primary to be held on March 5th, 2024 in Cheatham County, Tennessee.

All persons who have moved their residence are required to change their registration records with this office.


The LAST DAY TO REGISTER to vote before this election is 

February 5th, 2024

EARLY VOTING by personal appearance at the locations listed below will be February 14th through February 27th, 2024.

Attn: Handicapped/Elderly Voters

Election Law TCA 2-3-109 provides that if a polling place is inaccessible to elderly or handicapped voters, those persons have the right to vote early or at the Election Commission Office on Election Day.  To vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day such voters must give written notice to the Election Commission of their intention to do so no later than February 24th, 2024.


ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL: A qualified voter may make application to the Election Commission Office from December 6th, 2023 thru February 27th, 2024.
