Cheatham County Animal Control has reached full capacity for cats and has temporarily paused new intakes to ensure the health and safety of the animals already in its care. With colder weather arriving, the shelter is urging community members to consider adoption to help make room for more cats in need.
To encourage adoptions, all cat and kitten adoption fees have been reduced to just $15 through Saturday, November 15. The shelter is open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for visitors to meet adoptable cats and kittens.
Every cat adopted is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and microchipped, and adult cats are also FeLV/FIV tested. Each adoption helps open space for another animal in need of safety and care.
Community members are encouraged to visit the shelter to meet the many cats and kittens currently awaiting loving homes.
