The Cheatham County School District's secondary academic coordinator, Kristian Dennison, has been named one of the nine state finalists for 2023-2024 Supervisor of the Year by the Tennessee Department of Education. Dennison was named the Mid-Cumberland Region Supervisor of the Year, and advanced to the state-level competition.
As the secondary academic coordinator, Dennison oversees academic programs and initiatives in grades 5-12, working closely with the principals and academic specialists in each of the county's middle and high schools.

“It is an honor to represent Cheatham County educators as the Mid-Cumberland supervisor of the year. I am excited to be recognized for the work we are doing across our district to strengthen our schools and give our students amazing opportunities to succeed,” Dennison said.
The TDOE will name the Supervisor of the Year later this fall.
