Build It, and They Will Shop: Teresa’s Field of Dreams Boutique

- Micca Terrell

Avoid all the crowds and relax while you are shopping for fashion, accessories, and home décor at a new boutique tucked away in the quiet countryside in Pleasant View. Teresa Perry, owner of Teresa’s Field of Dreams Boutique, held the grand opening on her new business on Old Clarksville Pike on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Perry said she wanted to create a place where customers can spend time enjoying their shopping experience, and really take a moment for themselves. She drew up the concept for her shop, and her husband Barry built out the space behind their home.

Over 30-years of experience in fashion, beauty, and finance has helped Perry to prepare for this exciting new venture of pre-loved women’s clothing, scarves, handbags, shoes, sterling silver jewelry, silk flower arrangements, and beautiful wood creations by CrossWorks, designed by her husband Barry.

Some of the fashion creations are inspired by her mother, Rosa Lee Garcia, who passed just a couple of months ago. Teresa’s mother’s portrait graces the wall of the shop and her fashions are marked with “RLC” for Rosa Lee Collection, she said.

“My mother would often create a beautiful look, complete with jewelry, hat, and shoes,” Perry explained, while standing next to a mannequin dressed in an ensemble like one of her mother’s.

Teresa’s Field of Dreams Boutique is open on Saturday’s at 1404 Old Clarksville Pike, Pleasant View, Tenn., and you can find the store on Facebook at https://facebook.com/Teresas-Field-of-Dreams-Boutique-101904258209523/.
