On November 29, 2022, books were presented to the Cheatham County Public Library by the Native American Educational Resources of Tennessee in honor of National Native American Heritage Month. The donated books ranged in age/grade level from preschool to adult.
Native American Educational Resources of Tennessee holds one annual fund raiser, the Cumberland River Powwow, in an effort to donate more quality Native American resources to schools and libraries throughout the Southeast.
