Birdie’s Craft Coffee Opens in Pleasant View

Pleasant View, TN  A long-time dream has finally come true with the recent opening of Birdie’s Craft Coffee-- a new coffee shop that opened to the community on October 7, 2025.

For years, the idea of opening a coffee shop remained on hold for Faith Adair due to the limited commercial space in Pleasant View. That changed when the right location became available. “When this space opened up, I knew instantly it was the one,” Adair shared. She and her husband, Aaron, viewed the location the day after returning from vacation. “We prayed over it, talked it through, and I realized — if I let this opportunity pass, I would regret it.”

The shop’s name, Birdie’s, is a family tribute. Named after Adair's great-grandmother and also her daughter’s middle name, Birdie’s is intended to reflect a legacy.

The atmosphere of the new coffee shop will be unique, described as “your cool grandma’s house.” Visitors can expect vintage pieces, old family photos, and antiques — many thrifted, each with its own story. Even the chairs carry history, with plaques on the backs showing the names of their former owners. “They once belonged to someone else’s memories, but I think that fits perfectly with what I want Birdie’s to represent: honoring the past while creating new connections,” said Adair.

Though not her first business, Birdie’s Craft Coffee marks the family’s first venture into coffee. “My passion didn’t come from being a barista or learning the science of beans — it came from the experience coffee creates,” Adair explained. “For me, a cup of coffee has always meant comfort, solitude, and togetherness.”

Now living in Adams with their two children, the Adairs consider Pleasant View their community. Their children attend school in the area, they are part of 24 Church, and they say the locals feel like family. “My hope is that Birdie’s becomes a place where people can laugh, cry, catch up with friends, or simply sit in quiet with a comforting cup.”

The opening of Birdie’s Craft Coffee has been made possible with the support of contractors, friends, neighbors, and community members. Updates and behind-the-scenes progress are being shared on Instagram at @birdiescraftcoffee.

Birdie’s, located at at 1000 Civic Court in Pleasant View, will operate Tuesdays through Saturdays, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
