In a world that is becoming increasingly digital and interconnected, the power of genuine human connection often takes a backseat. Amid the hustle and bustle of modern life, there is an innate need for communities to come together, share moments of joy, and support one another through the highs and lows. Enter Billboard4Me- an unexpected, yet potent, tool in fostering community unity by displaying personal messages that resonate with the hearts of locals.
A couple of years ago, a billboard was erected in Pleasant View at the corner of Highway 49 & Highway 41 at the Hampton Inn. Not knowing how the community would respond, personal messages were allowed to be posted to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and more. Right away, the community jumped on board- even the mayor of Pleasant View was celebrated on the billboard for his birthday.
Since the billboard went up, the community has posted hundreds of personal messages.
