In May, the Art League of Cheatham County will award a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior residing in Cheatham County.
Students in visual arts, music, and performing arts are all encouraged to apply.
This scholarship can be used for college tuition, trade school, or any traditional secondary school. This scholarship can also be used by a graduating senior who plans to put it toward their creative future and endeavors in the form of supplies, workshops, studio space, lessons, equipment, etc.
Talent, financial need, and work ethic will all be considered when selecting the winning recipient. The following documents and materials are required, and will be scored as follows:
Portfolio (50 points)- Provide at least three pieces of work via electronic images, audio, and/or video. Electronically send materials via email, drop box, or by other electronic transmission. If mailed, the league asks that you provide all materials on electronic media devices such as DVD, CD, thumb drive, etc., and note "Scholarship Application" in the subject line. The Art League of Cheatham County P.O. Box 458 - Pleasant View, TN 37146 is the mailing address for these items if they cannot be sent electronically.
Financial Need (20 points)- Demonstrate financial need by submitting previous year’s annual household income
Essay (15 points)- Each applicant is asked to submit a typed essay of no more than two pages.
Recommendation Letters (15 points) Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers/advisors/trainer relating to art. Letters must be emailed directly from the recommender to The Art League of Cheatham County at email@example.com with the subject line being the student's name.

Each applicant must submit the required items and completed application by April 4, 2022.
Applications will be judged by a qualified panel of five members.
The winner of the scholarship will be announced on or before May 1, 2022.
