Art-Filled Weekend Scheduled for this Month in Pleasant View

The Art League of Cheatham County has announced new dates for their fine art gala that was postponed this spring due to the virus.

The first part of the two-day event, the "fine artist reveal event," is scheduled for Friday, September 25, and will be held at The Coach House in Pleasant View from 6 PM- 9 PM.

During the Friday evening event that will boast fine art from local artists, guests will also be treated to classical music performed by members of the Nashville Symphony. The addition of music to the event will be a "blended experience of sight and sound."

Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. All drinks will be $8 with a portion of sales going back to the Art League of Cheatham.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for $12 by mailing a check payable to The Art League of Cheatham County at P.O Box 458, Pleasant View, TN 37146 or by visiting and searching for "art gala." Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Each ticket purchase includes one drink ticket. Attendees must be 21 and over.

The following morning, September 26, the Hampton Inn will be hosting a breakfast at which attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with local artists. The cost to attend this breakfast is $10.

The Hampton Inn will also be offering special rates for gala attendees. Reservations can be made by contacting 615-894-9910 and mentioning the code: SGA.

Also that day, between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM, the art show at The Coach House will open up to the general public. In addition to the displays of art inside, artists and art vendors will be set up outside as well.

While the event itself is free, the Art League of Cheatham County will be accepting donations.

The Coach House is located at 2511 HWY 49 East in Pleasant View.
