Looking for some summer fun? Cheatham County 4-H has something for everyone! Yes, it is cold outside, but plans are being made for a fun and safe summer camp experience!
Junior Camp is the most popular 4-H camp offered. This camp is for youth in grades 4th-6th! Camp is held in Columbia, Tennessee May 29-June 4, 2021. The cost of camp is $340 and sign ups begin on April 1st. Scholarships are available, with the application due by March 1st. Each year we send many kids to camp free or reduced cost. Camp will fill up first come, first serve.
During Junior 4-H camp, campers participate in typical camping activities such as swimming, rifle, archery, crafts, wildlife, ziplining and recreation. Teen and adult leaders are also needed for this camp.
Our camping facilities are certified by the American Camping Association (ACA) and will follow all CDC, University of Tennessee and ACA guidelines related to COVID-19. The safety of our campers, leaders, and staff is the number one priority while still making camp fun.
We do offer camps for other age groups too: Junior High Camp is for 4-H members in 6th-8th grade, 4-H Electric Camp for 4-H members in 6th-8th grade, Design Camp is open to all 6th-8th graders, and Target SMART is a shooting sports discipline camp. As soon as information about these other camps are available, information will be shared.
