Virginia “Ginnie” Knight Barnes, age 90 of Cedar Hill, TN passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020
.
She was born May 8, 1930 in Ashland City, TN and was the daughter of the late Jack and Lela Knight.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ezell Barnes; granddaughter, Tania Pinson-Carter; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by sister, Verna Edward; son, Roger Dale Barnes; daughter, Kathye Barnes Beech; granddaughter, Karen (Ben) Sprouse; great- grandsons, Trent Beech and Tanner Pinson; great-granddaughter, Treva Pinson; great-great granddaughters, Mya and Callie Beech; special nieces, Wanda Pentecost, Myra Felts, and Peggy Knight, and many other nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Special friends, Peggy O’Neal Dunn, Betty & Wayne Spain and Bella Scruggs.
Pallbearers will be Trent Beech, Tanner Pinson, Michael Baujan, Todd Pinson, Dylan Hudson, Brian Haywood, Noah Jolley, and Ben Sprouse.
Mrs. Barnes had a tremendous love for children, was a member of Pleasant View First Baptist Church and she kept the nursery for over 40 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View First Baptist Building Fund.
