Cheatham Chamber Serves Local Students for 8th Year Despite Pandemic

Local businesses, organizations, and volunteers joined the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy on the morning for August 1 for the Back-to-School Bash-- the Chamber’s eighth.

During the drive-through style event which was designed for the safety of volunteers and families, 240 students were equipped with school supplies needed to begin the 2020-21 school year.

“Even though we had to handle things differently this year and we missed seeing all of the smiling faces of Cheatham students, it was still another great year of serving the community,” says Misty Keenan, Cheatham County Chamber Director and event coordinator.

“I am so thankful for the local businesses, such as A.O. Smith, that partner with the Chamber and all of the selfless volunteers who truly make this such a successful event year after year.”

Leftover supplies will be given to school counselors to distribute as needed.
