Cheatham County Election Office: Local and General Information for November 3 Election


ELECTION NOTICE

A State General, Town of Kingston Springs and Town of Pleasant View Municipal Election is hereby called for Cheatham County, Tennessee for Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the various precincts to elect the following:

GENERAL ELECTION

● President/Vice President

● U.S. Senate ● U.S. House of Representatives

● TN Senate District 25

● TN House of Representatives District 78

TOWN OF PLEASANT VIEW CITY ELECTION

● Mayor

● Aldermen (2-Two seats)

TOWN OF KINGSTON SPRINGS CITY ELECTION

● City Council (3-Three seats)

QUALIFYING DEADLINE FOR INDEPENDENT PRESIDENTIAL AND THE TOWNS OF PLEASANT VIEW AND KINGSTON SPRINGS ELECTION IS AUGUST 20th, 2020 AT 12:00 NOON.

Any person interested in running for office should contact the Cheatham County Election Commission Office for further information. The office is located behind the Cheatham County Library, 188 John Mayfield Dr., Suite 100, Ashland City, TN or call (615) 792-5770. Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The last day to register to vote before the November 3rd, 2020 election is October 5th, 2020.

The Election Commission does not discriminate on the basis of disability. If you have questions about needed accommodations in the voting process, please call 792-5770.

Pursuant to TCA 2-7-133(j) and TCA 2-8-113(c) notice is hereby given that any person attempting to be elected by write-in ballots shall complete a notice requiring such person’s ballots to be counted no later than fifty (50) days before the election. The notice shall be on a form prescribed by the Coordinator of Elections and shall not require signatures of any person other than the write-in candidate requesting ballots be counted. Forms are available in the Cheatham County Election Commission Office.
