Daniel Moman has been named the new boys basketball coach at Harpeth High School.

Moman comes to the Cheatham County School District from Texas, where he has taught and coached since 2013.

A 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama, Moman most recently worked at Blue Ridge High School in Blue Ridge, Texas, where he was an assistant varsity basketball coach as well as an assistant varsity football and baseball coach since August 2018.

Additionally, he served as the head boys basketball coach at Williams High School in Plano, Texas, during the 2017-2018 school year and as the head basketball coach at Otto Middle School in Plano, Texas, from 2014-2017.

"I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to work at Harpeth High School. This position is something I consider a ‘dream job’ and hope to make a positive impact in the school and the community for many years to come. I would especially like to thank my wife, JoJo, and my daughter, Riley, for allowing me to pursue my dream as it comes with many nights away and long hours. They will be Harpeth High School’s biggest fans. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to meeting everyone soon,” he said.

Moman will teach economics and government at HHS.
