Next week, the Cheatham County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Cheatham County School District to conduct a "carseat checkup" event.
During the check, car seats will be inspected for manufacturer recalls and examined for proper installation by certified technicians. Crews will also distribute educational materials about car seats.
Scheduled for July 13-15 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., technicians will travel to three different locations in order to reach all parts of the county.
July 13- Ashland City Elementary S.T.E.M Academy located at 108 Elizabeth Street
July 14- Pegram Elementary Fine Art Magnet located at 4552 Dogwood Lane
July 15- Pleasant View Elementary School located at 2625 Church Street
There is no need to pre-register for this free event.
Anyone planning to attend should bring their car seat's instruction booklet and vehicle owner's manual.
