Obituary: Robert Glenn Watts, 73

Robert Glenn Watts “Bobby”, age 73 of the Battle Creek Community in Robertson County, Tennessee, died Friday, June 26, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Tuesday, June 30th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Jewell Barrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Randy Reeder, and Roy Biggs, Jr.

Bobby was born at home in Robertson County on July 1, 1946 to the late Ernest Cates “Montana” and Ruth Roman Watts.

He was a tobacco farmer and his hobbies including hunting, fishing, and his game roosters. He was a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Watts; and sister, Betty Ruth Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Watts; son, Boo (Sandra) Watts; daughters, Melissa (James) Jones and Avle Perry; grandchildren, D.J. “Catfish” (Erin) Wheeler, Megan “Maggot” Wheeler, Cody “Toad” (Emily) Norrod, Jeffrey “Terrapin” Perry, Bridget “Cricket” (W.T.) Farmer, Jacob “Bear” Watts, Tristan “Squirrel” Watts; and eleven great-grandchildren.
