A new fitness center will be opening in Pleasant View in 2021.

According to Kip Stratton, owner of Ashland City Fitness, his new 6,000-square-foot facility will have a wide variety of fitness equipment, an outside walking and running track, sauna/steam room, and a health food store.

The Pleasant View Fitness Center will be built on 1.1 acres near the intersection of Municipal Drive and Highway 41-A, Stratton said.

The fitness entrepreneur said he wanted to build this facility to serve the growing population of Pleasant View, and realized the town needed a bigger space than what he currently operates in downtown Ashland City.

“I saw all the growth going on in Pleasant View and wanted to provide a reasonably priced fitness facility for the community,” Stratton said.

Memberships will be similar to the ones offered at Ashland City Fitness, without a contract and on a monthly basis. The prices for memberships have not been set yet, but will be affordable, he said.

The fitness center in Pleasant View will also have two additional spaces on the lot it will occupy, Stratton said.

“I want this development to look nice, and I look forward to folks enjoying this new space when it opens next year,” he said.
