On June 2, the North Cheatham Civitan John Mueller Veterans Memorial of Pleasant View Scholarship recipients were presented with $500 at The Coach House in Pleasant View.
This year's selected students were:
Lacy Grinder - Pleasant View Christian School
Payton Corlew - Harpeth High School
Amelia Glass - Cheatham County Central High School
Lennon Dunn Matthews - Sycamore High School
The scholarships, named after the late John Mueller-- a veteran and member of the local Civitan Club-- were awarded to one senior at each county high school. To apply, students needed to have military ties (an active duty family member or veteran) and write a related essay.
Trish Nelson, current club president, said, "thank you to all the winners, applicants, and their service members. Civitan wishes you all a successful future."
