SHS Welcomes New Football Coach

Mark Hall has been named the new head football coach at Sycamore High School.

Hall comes to SHS from Rossview High School in Clarksville, where he has served as an assistant football coach and assistant athletic director.

“I would like to thank Principal Mrs. Dawn Wenning and Athletic Director Mr. Shelby Tinch for the opportunity to become the head football coach at Sycamore. I am excited about coming to Sycamore and creating relationships with these young men and helping them to achieve the goals that they are reaching for and to have success not just on the field but in the community,” Hall said.

A graduate of Harding University, Hall brings many years of coaching experience with him to SHS.

He has served as an assistant football coach at West Memphis Christian School, Ezell-Harding Christian School and Middle Tennessee Christian School. While employed by Rutherford County Schools, he served as an assistant football coach at La Vergne High School for four years and head football coach at Christiana Middle School for three years.

Hall joined the Rossview coaching staff in 2015 and served as the special teams coordinator in 2015 and defensive coordinator from 2016-2018, leading the Hawks to three playoff appearances. Additionally, he served as the team’s interim head coach in 2017 during the offseason. In 2019, he was the school’s assistant athletic director and facility/athletic field maintenance coordinator.

Hall replaces Justin Robison, who recently stepped down to take an assistant coaching and teaching position at Goodpasture Christian School in Nashville.
