Post-Isolation Plans for Pleasant View Include Yard Sale, Car Show, and Parade

As Pleasant View officials begin to look toward the near future, dates have been set for two favorite local events and a parade has been planned.

Cruise’n N’ Groove’n will kick off its 2020 season on Saturday, May 30- just two weeks behind schedule. “Mustangs in May” will begin at 5PM in The Village.

“This will be the first real opportunity our community has had to come together since the pandemic,” said Pleasant View Mayor Perry Keenan. “People are ready to get out and enjoy some good weather, fellowship, and great cars!

That morning, a parade honoring Sycamore High School and Pleasant View Christian School seniors will take place along the normal parade route beginning at 10 AM.

“I know this graduating class has been through unprecedented circumstances, and we feel that this is the least we can do for them,” said Keenan.

The city-wide yard sale will be held on Saturday, June 20. Those interested in having their sale put on the map are encouraged to call Pleasant View City Hall at 615-746-0600.

“I could not be more thrilled to have these upcoming events scheduled for our community, and I hope they give people a sense of normalcy.”
