Floyd B. Cassista, Sr., age 92, passed away peacefully at his home alongside his loving wife, Anne.
Floyd was born in Caswell Plantation, Maine, on December 23, 1927, to the late Alphe’ Cassista and Yvonne M. Poitras Cassista. Floyd was of Catholic Faith and a member of St. Martha’s Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. He was a retired car salesman. At the time of his death, he was a member of the American Legion Post 40.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd J. Cassista; sister, Laura Marie Cassista Bellis; and grandson, Joseph McKenzie. He is survived by his loving wife, Anne F. Donaldson Cassista; son, Floyd (Ivy) B. Cassista, Jr; daughter, Kim (Bill McCord) Marie Cassista; grandchildren, Floyd B. Cassista, III, Noah McKenzie and Theresa Marie Cassista; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 11am in St. Martha’s Church in Ashland City, Tennessee, with interment in Calvary Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, at the funeral home from 8:30am until 10:30 am, with a vigil and rosary from 9:15am to 9:45am. Serving as pallbearers will be David Hutchison, Floyd Cassista, Jr., Floyd Cassista, III, Roger Edwards, Jr., Bill McCord and Derek Batts.
