Moore, Patricia Ann Pascall: Age 91 of Pleasant View, Tennessee
Pat died peacefully on April 29, 2020 after a twenty - year struggle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 19, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Harold Howard Pascall and Ruth Lucille Laughlin Pascall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Robert Moore, and her brother, Robert Lee Pascall. She is survived and beloved by Virginia Eileen Moore Lacy, Steven Paul Lacy, David Harold Moore, Rocky Thomas Craft, Matthew David Lacy, and Daniel Thomas Lacy.
Throughout her long life, Pat consistently defied the odds. She was a great example of service, love, and courage throughout her life. Pat was baptized as a child at Fairfax Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. After the death of her father, when she was 13, she joined Westbrook Church of the Nazarene on the West side of Indianapolis. She always missed her dad throughout her life.
Pat graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1947. She completed her nursing degree at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in 1950 after having saved Roosevelt dimes to pay for her tuition. She married Charles Robert Moore on December 23, 1950. She cared for her brother until his death in 1952 from melanoma. She supported her husband while he attended Olivet Nazarene College. During her time working at St. Mary’s in Kankakee, Illinois, she and Bob adopted David and Ginger.
She then became a pastor’s wife while her husband pastored several Church of the Nazarene congregations in Indiana, Nevada, and Florida. During this time, she also cared for her mother who died of Alzheimer’s.
By the time of her retirement, after 50 years in nursing, she had worked in over 30 hospitals. Pat was instrumental in the formation of Ft. Myers Community Hospital in Florida with an emphasis on their surgery department. For a time, she taught nursing and health services. Near the end of her career, she cared for patients in home health care focusing on AIDS patients. She found great satisfaction in all of the relationships formed in these settings.
In retirement, she and Bob moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and finally to Pleasant View, Tennessee in 2012. She loved being a nurse. She also loved to read and quilt. She did not love to cook, do housework, or move, but she did all three very well. She loved her children immensely, but her greatest joys were her two grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at GracePointe Church of the Nazarene, Indianapolis, Indiana, later this summer.
