Over the past weeks, local photographers have used their talents to capture unique images of families as they adapt to social isolation as a result of COVID-19.
Keeping a safe distance, area professionals like Jenny Mabry of Jenny Mabry Photography, Maria Latham of Maria Latham Photography, and Roni Williams of Veronica Rose Photography, went around various neighborhoods to snap images that are sure to be remembered for a lifetime.
On their porches, in their driveways, and even from behind windows and doors, families light-heartedly posed for the camera with quarantine necessities like cleaning products, books, wine, laptops, board games, toilet paper, masks, snacks, and more.
“After seeing several social media posts with similar photos, I thought I could do it for my neighbors,” Mabry said. “I knew it would give me a creative outlet after having to cancel several photography sessions and events for the foreseeable future. But I also knew it was something that could be fun for my neighbors and give them something to look back on once we are safely on the other side of this crisis.”
Latham, who closely echoed Mabry’s sentiments, also noted how much the participants enjoyed the experience.
“They told me how much fun it was to come up with ideas for their sessions,” she said. “Harris Farms rocks with all their amazing ideas!”
None of the photographers charged for these sessions.
Williams, however, accepted donations that allowed her to buy lunch for 6th-floor staff members at Skyline Medical Center.
