In an effort to offer support and show appreciation through these unprecedented times, the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with local businesses and restaurants in order to feed the teams at local medical practices and grocers.
This afternoon, lunch from Swezey’s was delivered to Grace Pediatrics sponsored by Sam and Michelle Greene, Vuocolo’s was delivered to Fast Pace Urgent Care and Cash Saver compliments of the Kemp family, Vanderbilt VIP Pediatrics and Regents Medical Center (sponsored by Jerome Terrell) were brought a catered lunch from the Livery Stables, Golly G’s was delivered to Northcrest Clinic, and Whitt’s BBQ provided lunch for Family Health Center.
The Kemp family will also be providing SkyKing Pizza to additional heroes at the Ashland City Police Department and Lawrence Foods.
“Being in the grocery business for decades, our family knows just how stressful this business can be under normal circumstances,” says Donnie Kemp, former owner of Kemps’ Foodland from 1971-2001.
“The men and women manning the checkouts and stocking shelves during the COVID-19 crisis are doing so under unprecedented circumstances. They are truly heroes on the frontlines of this pandemic helping feed America. Providing lunch for them was our small token of appreciation.”
Tristar Ashland City will be served on Wednesday, March 25, by O’Brien’s Southern Diner owned by Candice Beasley who is no stranger to helping others through her restaurant.
“As this continues, we will look for other opportunities to serve our members during this crisis,” said Chamber Director Misty Keenan.
“Thank you for the time you give to the chamber and the support you give to our community.”
