Larry Clayton Ward, age 76, passed away at his home on the evening of Saturday, February 29, 2020.
Larry was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 28, 1943, to the late James and Lula Mae Hooper Ward. He was a member of the Joelton First Baptist Church and retired from Dupont. Larry loved riding motorcycles, horses and bicycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Clayton Graves. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Jean Simpkins Ward; son, David Ward; daughter, Wendy (Jamey) Chandler; brothers, Jimmy (Nancy) Ward and Randy (Barbara) Ward; three grandchildren, T.J. Bennett, Kristen Breakfield, and Adrian Ward; and three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ladyn, and Serenity. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother David Royalty officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
