Undefeated IBF Super Middleweight Champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant held a media workout last week in Las Vegas. During the event, Plant previewed his homecoming title defense against mandatory challenger Vincent Feigenbutz. The Bridgestone Arena event, which is set to take place Saturday, February 15, will headline FOX PBC Fight Night and FOX Deportes.

Plant, an Ashland City native, will make the second defense of his 168-pound title in a "homecoming attraction" as he fights in Tennessee for the first time as a professional fighter.

“I feel great. Camp and sparring have been great and my strength and conditioning is spot-on. I know everyone says they’re on weight, but if you check my track record, you know that if I tell you I feel good, that probably means it’s going great," Plant said at the workout.

"We’re just finishing up camp with a bang, and are ready for February 15," he added.

Cheatham County's Ty Tomlin will also be at the large-scale event, making what could be his television debut under the largest spotlight of his budding, yet very promising, professional career.

Tomlin, 4-0, was recently the main event in Tri-Star Boxing’s “Fights at the Fairgrounds 5” held at the Nashville Fairgrounds. Proving he could go the distance in a longer fight than he’s used to, Tomlin took down a determined Gerardo Esquivel in six rounds.

While the upcoming swing bout does not give Tomlin much time to recover from his January 16 matchup with Esquivel, he is looking forward to his appearance at Bridgestone with Plant.

“It’ll be great to fight alongside another Cheatham County fighter who has made it to where we want to be,” Tomlin said. “We trained together at a very young age, and it will be a cool experience to be fighting on the big stage together.”

A media workout, open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12 at Music City Boxing Gym located at 4624 Kentucky Ave. in Nashville. Tomlin will be available at 12:45, and Plant at 1:15 PM. The official weigh-in, also open to the public, will be at Bridgestone Arena's Music City Meeting Room at Noon on Friday, February 14.

Tickets for the event are still currently on sale, and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
