In an effort to help beautify the community, the Cheatham County Master Gardeners are excited to announce the kick-off of their 2020 county-wide beautification program.
Anyone interested in taking part in this year’s award program or learning about the Cheatham County Master Gardeners, is encouraged to attend the kick-off party scheduled for Saturday, February 22 from 1 PM- 3 PM in the McCullough Community Room located at 322 Frey Street in Ashland City.
Refreshments will be served.
The program, the first of its kind locally, will soon be accepting entries and later, awarding 20 winning properties throughout the county.
The organization’s beautification program, now in its second year, is the brainchild of Dr. Fred Nordquist who has a medical practice, The Village Primary Care, in Pleasant View. Nordquist became a master gardener in January of 2018, bringing with him the idea to start the program in Cheatham County.
