On Saturday, December 21, Sycamore High School wrestlers, along with wrestlers from 11 other schools, participated in the Springfield High School Bruiser Brawl- Individual Wrestling Tournament. Due to sickness, Sycamore only had seven varsity wrestlers competing, but finished the tournament with five individual medalists: Logan Heckert and Nathan Thorbjornsen took home first place, Preston Castleberry and Luke London came in second place, and Mark Helser, third. Overall, Sycamore finished fourth in the tournament.
Also that day, Sycamore’s junior varsity ladies participated in matches at Wilson Central.
On January 24, Sycamore will host the inter-county battle.
