Candles will be lit and ornaments hung in memory of those lost to addiction, suicide, or other devastation during a special holiday ceremony made possible by the Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition.
On Sunday, December 22, the CCCEC will be hosting a Celebration of Hope at the Cheatham County Courthouse at 3:00 PM.
While support, music, and faith-based speakers are a bulk of the event, attendees will also be given ornaments to write their loved ones names on; these will be hung on the county's Christmas tree. At the end of the event, candles will be lit in their memory.
On site, there will be a resource tent equipped with information on substance abuse, treatment services, and recovery-friendly congregations.
