Tomlin Adds Another Knockout to Pro Resume

Ty “Short Fuse” Tomlin traveled from Cheatham County to Tampa, Florida last weekend where he defeated Fernando Marreo on Saturday, November 23.

In the short but intense bout, Tomlin put Miami’s Marreo on the canvas twice before the referee called the fight just 1:10 into the second round.

The knockout victory over Marreo leaves Tomlin with a professional record of 3-0.

“This fight was very stressful, as Ty’s opponent fell through the week of the fight and promoters scrambled to find a replacement,” says Darryl Tomlin, Ty’s father. “We didn’t know who we were fighting until the night before.”

Despite the chaos, a thankful Tomlin was able to put on a show for his fans who made the journey to Florida to support him.

The event, hosted by Dibella Entertainment and Pier 6 Boxing, was Tomlin’s first professional fight held outside of Tennessee.

The next opportunity to see Tomlin live in the ring will be January 16 at the Nashville Fairgrounds.
