The Town of Ashland City announced earlier today that the grand marshal of the town's annual Christmas parade is comedienne Chonda Pierce.
Pierce, known as “The Queen of Clean” and “The Country Comic,” is a successful Christian comedian and is RIAA’s biggest selling female comic in history who has used her life experiences as a preacher's daughter and mother of two to help bring laughter to her audience.
Pierce, who moved to Ashland City when she was 15, began her career by playing Minnie Pearl on the Country Music U.S.A. variety show at Opryland. She has also appeared on a number of television shows and movies, written books, and has written a movie which was recently recorded in Cheatham County.
The Town of Ashland City 2019 Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 7 at 6:00 p.m. on South Main Street in Ashland City.
