New Groomer Loves to Rock Dogs’ Locks

Pleasant View’s four-legged friends now have a full-time groomer to keep them looking fresh and feeling good. Family owned Mutley Crue opened Wednesday, Sept. 25, in their newly renovated space on Main Street. If the name reminds you of a well-known band from the 80s, you’ve got the right idea.

Owner Shawna Williams, a rock n’ roll lover, motorcycle enthusiast and veteran groomer for over a decade, said she was inspired by her beloved mastiff and Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx when creating the business brand. Williams, who has groomed dogs in Clarksville, Nashville, and Pleasant View, said she wanted to give back to her community and opened up her very first shop here.

“I’ve always loved animals and we had just moved back to this area,” she said. “I love my community. My grandkids go to school here. I saw the need for a full-time groomer, and I would love to see Main Street grow,” Williams added.

She enjoys listening to hair bands and likes to sing to her fur babies as she washes, dries, and trims them to help them stay happy. Pet owners will also notice a calming aroma of essential oils in the air at the shop to help keep Fluffy and Fido in a relaxed state of mind. She also uses natural shampoos and conditioners to take care of pets’ coats as part of her basic grooming package.

Dogs large or small are welcome, as well as canines with special needs, whether it’s dry skin, hot spots, or paw problems. Pet owners just to need to make sure their dogs have had all their shots before they book an appointment, for their protection and for the other dogs, Williams said.
