Master Barber Joins Pleasant View Salon

It’s now even more convenient to get a precision haircut or shave without ever leaving Cheatham County. Master Barber David Parker is the newest addition at Lock-n-Roll Salon on Highway 49 near Old Clarksville Pike. Parker’s razor and scissor skills compliment the coloring finesse of owner/stylist/instructor Jesica Williams and stylist/colorist Chasity Shortt, and the massage therapy of licensed massage therapist Anne Lee. With all this talent under one roof, clients can get all the services they need, and can select from a full line of hair products for after-color care and maintenance, without ever driving all the way to Nashville.

Providing a unique experience, with a low-key, relaxed environment and the ultimate service for everyone, is the focus at Lock-n-Roll, Williams explained. “We don’t want people to think our salon is just for women,” she said. The addition of Parker is also convenient for students and staff at nearby Sycamore Middle and High Schools who might need to get a cut before or after classes, Williams added.

Parker, who’s no stranger to Pleasant View, graduated from SHS in 2007 and completed 1,500 hours in a master barber training program. He offers flexible hours and offers appointments for customers to fit their schedule. Parker said he looks forward to giving back to the community where he grew up.

“I did haircuts for the students at Riverside Academy, and I’m about to start that up again,” Parker said. “A lot of young people there don’t have a lot of stability, and they need mentorship,” he said.

You can stop by and get a cut from Parker at the salon at 2002 Highway 49 East, Pleasant View, Tenn., from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. weekdays. You can also book appointments by calling Lock-n-Roll Salon at 615-746-9717, or by going online to their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LocknRoll2002/.
