Many moms and dads in Cheatham County probably don’t realize they can get free tools to help them prepare their little ones for kindergarten. The Cheatham County School System is providing a free program on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library. Parents can learn more about a free app called “Ready! For Kindergarten” as well as get bags with board puzzles, dry erase board, crayons, magnetic letters and numbers, scissors, and a children’s book.
Claudette Fizer, Cheatham County Schools Family and Community Engagement Coordinator/Homeless Liasion, said the spaces are limited for the program, so parents need to sign up in advance if they would like to attend. If you’re interested, call Tracy Roberts at 615-746-1406.
