China Stars in Sycamore Square offers some of the best Chinese and Cantonese food around, including egg rolls, crab rangoons, and lo mein. But you won’t see the same smiling faces behind the counter anymore. Rong Hang Dong and his family have sold their beloved restaurant to a business owner they know in Nashville.
The owners are retiring and moving to New York to be close to their relatives, their son said. They want everyone in the community to know they are very thankful for their support, and they’ve enjoyed their stay in Cheatham County since they opened their restaurant in 2002.
The Dong family’s last day serving their original recipes was Wednesday, July 31. However, the eatery will continue to serve Chinese food under new ownership. It’s located at 332 Frey Street, Ashland City, Tenn., in Sycamore Square. The phone number is 615-792-2882.
