Cheatham County Sheriff Mike Breedlove states that the reason behind a Sycamore High School and Sycamore Middle School lockout is a high schooler's ex-boyfriend who made threats to "shoot up her car."
Due to the suspect being from Nashville, Metro police are also assisting in the investigation.
"Students are still going about their day and switching classes; they are in no immediate danger," says Robyn Miller, principal at Sycamore Middle.
A lockout means that the buildings are secure and there is limited access in and out.
