UT President Visits Local Extension

The University of Tennessee President Randy Boyd visited the Cheatham County Extension office on Thursday afternoon.

Boyd spoke with the local extension agents about all areas impacting the county from 4-H to agriculture and early interest in raising hemp. The UT President said he was working to visit all 95 counties across the state to learn more about the local challenges of today’s UT Extension service.

The UT President who previously served the State of Tennessee as the Economic and Community Development Commissioner was treated to homemade vanilla ice cream and spent about 45 minutes in an open discussion with members of the local office about current and future needs of the statewide service.
