Mayor Declares Human Trafficking Awareness Week in Cheatham County


Mayor Kerry R. McCarver signed a proclamation declaring July 29 – August 3, 2019, as Human Trafficking Awareness Week in Cheatham County.

The Cheatham Coalition has a program planned on the Courthouse front lawn in Ashland City on Thursday, August 1, from 1-4 p.m. as part of the week’s focus on human trafficking.

The program is part of Red Sand Project promoted by the State of Tennessee Health Department. The week is dedicated to promote education, resources, and community efforts to provide knowledge to identify and prevention of human trafficking.
