Cattlemen's Benefit Dinner and Auction Provides Scholarships to Local Students

The Cheatham County Cattlemen’s Association anticipates their upcoming Annual College Scholarship Benefit Dinner and Auction that is set for Saturday, April 6. The 11th annual event will begin at 5:30 PM at the Livery Stables in Pleasant View. Each ticket is $30 and includes a complete ribeye steak dinner.

Following the dinner, local auctioneers will conduct a live auction featuring various donated items. Auction items usually include tools, home decor, jewelry, baked goods, hanging baskets, gift certificates, livestock supplies, and much more.

Monies raised throughout the evening will go toward the sponsorship of the Cheatham County Cattlemen’s Association College Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is available to all Agr/Natural Resources areas of study. Recipients of the 2019 scholarships will be recognized during the event as well.

"Please help support our local youth," says Ronnie Barron, Extension Agent and County Director.

The last day to purchase tickets is Monday, April 1; they are available at the UT/TSU Extension office and at the COOP in Ashland City.

Auction items are currently still being taken.
