Children will soon be enjoying new playground equipment at Riverbluff Park in Ashland City.
Discussion of this project has been going on since last November and includes replacing all the equipment but the swings. City council members unanimously approved the purchase of the blue, red, and yellow metal equipment from GameTime in the council’s regularly-called meeting January 15.
The project cost $92,000 from the 2018 – 2019 budget and includes several options for children with disabilities.
The playground area was closed March 20 – April 5 while crews from Copponex Group, based out of Jefferson, Ga., installed the equipment. Rocks and mulch are also to be added later.
City Parks Director Scott Sampson said he hoped the work on the playground would be completed over the next couple of weeks.
