The UT/TSU Extension staff recognized out going members, as well as incoming members for 2019, at the annual Cheatham County Ag Committee Christmas Dinner. Committee members are appointed annually by the county commission to serve in an advisory role for budgeting, hiring, and evaluating Extension educational programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, 4-H Youth Development, Family & Consumer Sciences, and Community Resource Development. The committee consists of 3 county commissioners, 2 farm men, and 2 farm women.
Rotating off of the committee this year, were former 1st District Commissioner, Betty Ramsey, former 6th District Commissioner, Shanon Pickard, and Mrs. Alicia Winters (farm woman), representing the 2nd District.
Mr. Pickard and Mrs. Winters were unable to attend the recognition dinner.
The annual commitment and involvement of these members is critical to all programming efforts of Extension. Their service to the community is greatly appreciated.
