'Stuff the Bus' to Help County Schools with Supplies

Many children look forward to arriving on the first day of school with new notebooks, backpacks and pencils, but it’s a different story for children whose families can’t afford these items.

To meet this community need, the Cheatham County School District will host the first “Stuff the Bus” on Saturday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Buses will be parked at three locations across the county for the community to drop off school supplies. Buses will be located at Dollar General in Kingston Springs, Dollar General Market in Pleasant View and Walmart in Ashland City.

The district is asking that you purchase school supplies and bring them to the bus on this date. Team members will be there to collect your supplies and stuff them on the bus.

Once all of the supplies are collected, they will be divided among Cheatham County schools and be given to students who need supplies for the upcoming school year.

For more information, contact Tim Adkins, the district’s communications director, at 615-792-5664 or tim.adkins@ccstn.org.
