Loxley Retires After 21 Years of Service to Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office

While Ed Loxley’s next chapter officially began on July 11, 2018, the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office threw him congratulatory retirement party on July 6 to celebrate his lengthy and loyal service to the department.

Loxley began his journey with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office in 1997 as a corrections officer; in 2014, Sheriff Mike Breedlove asked him to join the office administrative team as its “front man.”

“He is going to be greatly missed,” says Breedlove of Loxley.

As far as the future is concerned, Loxley intends to work part time for Walmart where he has been employed for the past 14 years; he is also looking forward to spending his newfound free time time with family.

“I have enjoyed my time with the sheriff’s office, but it’s time to enjoy some time off,” Loxley says.
