Local Realtor Makes Television Debut, Signs One-Year Contract with ‘American Dream’

When widely recognized and acclaimed Ashland City Realtor Amanda Bell was presented with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to appear on the nationally broadcasted television show, American Dream, she jumped at the chance to share her passion with millions of viewers.

With 15 years of industry experience under her belt and a Wall Street Journal ranking that names her one of the nation’s top ten realtors, it’s no surprise she was selected for a show that interviews high-profile guests and elite real estate experts representing their respective local markets.

Bell’s first episode of a year-long contract was filmed on February 21 and aired Sunday, March 4 on Fox 17; the segment focused on how the Nashville market impacts rural areas and the importance of having a Realtor in rural market areas.

“I have never done anything like this before, so it is both scary and exciting at the same time,” said Bell of her first television experience. “I have such a strong Southern accent that sometimes I wish I had a voice coach to help me neutralize some of it, but it is part of my personality and who I am- so they are just going to have to learn to like this Southern Tennessee girl!” she adds with a touch of humor.

While the show airs across America, Bell is able to film in a Brentwood studio located inside the Churchill Mortgage building. She has the choice to shoot her segments in the studio or out on location; her decision will be based on the topic being explored.

Thrilled to have the chance to highlight the hidden treasures of “small-town America,” Bell says she will take the opportunity to introduce viewers to areas of interest beyond the bright lights of city life.

“The surrounding rural communities are an important part of the attraction and visibility of Nashville,” she says.

The opportunity was given to Bell by Churchill Mortgage with whom she has done business with in the past; they connected her with show creator, Craig Sewing, an acclaimed television and radio personality who “educates, empowers, and engages” his viewers on topics related to the “American Dream.”

“What a refreshing break from a lot of the negativity that we have in society today,” Bell says. “I am excited that there is finally a show dedicated to discussing positive information regarding the real estate market and and how it plays a significant role in other industries and even on a personal level.”

American Dream is produced by Ignite Now Media rooted in San Diego, California. It airs Saturdays and Sundays on FOX, CBS, CW, and ABC, reaching 40 million homes each week.

While she is unsure of her future in television, Bell has committed at least one year to American Dream.

Local viewers can see her next American Dream appearance on April 1 at 10:00 AM on Fox 17.
