Lou + Shea Boutique Celebrates First-Year Success

Savannah and Christi Harris

“A Dash of Southern with a Pinch of Edge” is not only the tagline for Christi (Lou) and Savannah (Shea) Harris’ Lou + Shea Boutique, it is a way of life. The mother and daughter pair out of Pleasant View has taken their passion for fashion and turned it into a convenient, affordable, and trendy online and pop-up boutique that has found overwhelming success in its first year.

On February 17, they eagerly invite the community to join them in celebrating their one-year anniversary at the Coach House located at 1104 Main Street in Pleasant View. Cake, champagne, and discounts will be offered from 10AM to Noon.

And there is plenty to celebrate!

Since its official launch in February of 2017, Lou + Shea Boutique has appeared in over 20 trunk shows, shipped merchandise to 39 of 50 states, become a featured vendor at the Mustardseed Marketplace in Franklin, Kentucky, and has even had their most popular shirt make an appearance on Eric & Jessie on E!.

“We’re all over the map and it’s so exciting,” says Savannah, who graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2016 with a degree in public relations and marketing—a degree that has certainly played a role in the company’s success.

Currently, she is a dental assistant, while Christi, who actually holds a fashion merchandise degree, juggles a demanding career in graphic design.

The end goal, though, is to one day make Lou + Shea their full-time gig and have a brick and mortar to accompany their powerful online presence.

In the meantime, they are loving the journey they are on and truly enjoy watching their love of fashion flourish across a diverse and bountiful online platform.

“We believe that when you’re willing to put the time and effort in, good things will come,” they say of their first-year success.

“We want to be a unique place that people know they can come to and find that special piece,” adds Savannah, who says they will soon be expanding their product line to carry home decor, paper goods, and baby items.

Through creatively combining their individual backgrounds, shared sense of style, and difference in age, Christi and Savannah have the ability to stock their inventory with clothing customers can’t find anywhere else.

Each piece boasts a “dash” of southern flare and a “pinch” of comfortable edginess.

“My mom and I share a sense of style. Obviously some things that I wear, she wouldn’t wear, but we pride ourselves in providing clothing for everyone that makes you feel confident and stylish,” Savannah says.

And because affordability is a priority of theirs, each piece is also very reasonably priced.

Both Christi and Savannah have deep admiration for their small town and all things southern. They love traveling to different cities, shopping other boutiques and small businesses, and they always get excited about a good vintage find.

They also clearly have a deep love for Lou + Shea, a dream they have built and maintained together. And together, they will undoubtedly put in the work to take their success to the next level.
