Mrs. Morris’s Kindergarteners experienced many fun things during their study on the topic of Thanksgiving traditions. Students learned about the pilgrims, Indians, the Mayflower, and got to make Indian outfits for the occasion.
They participated in a Thanksgiving Feast where parents were included and helped prepare the meal. Students said the best part was making butter and eating it on banana bread! They were amazed at how the liquid turned to a solid form of butter. This leads into their study next week on solid, liquids and gases.
Students said it was like magic and was very fun! They also found out its easier to buy the butter at the store than to make it! It will be a memory that they won’t soon forget!
