Cheatham County students grades K-4 competed in the second annual Soil Conservation District’s (SCD) poster contest sponsored by the Cheatham County SCD and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. This year’s theme was “Healthy Soils Are Full of Life.”
Students were challenged to create any flat image, drawing, or design in accordance with the “Healthy Soils Are Full of Life” theme for the year. Students were awarded points based on conservation message, visual art, originality, & universal appeal.
2017 Poster Contest Winners:
Milo King – 1st Grade, Ms. Stewart’s Class – East Cheatham Elem.
Elizabeth McIntyre – 3rd grade, Ms. Hoilman’s Class – West Cheatham Elem.
Kelsey Prosch – 4th grade, Ms. Crouch’s Class – East Cheatham Elem.
All three winners were awarded an individual prize and $100 classroom supplies certificate for their classroom.
